Blood Donors Club – Youth Red Cross
Our students have voluntarily donated blood to the patients during emergency situations and thus they have saved so many lives.We are having a Blood Donors’ Club in the memory of of our Founder Dr.E.M.Abdullah and Mr.P.Muralikrishna, Lecturer, Dept. of Mathematics is the in-charge of the club. |

Regular Activities

Around 70% of our Students are the members of he club.

Every year we arrange Blood Group detection Camp.

Every year we arrange a Blood Donation Camp on the Founder’s Day
(4th July) in our College Campus.

Through this Camp We are donating around 200 units of Blood to Madurai Rajaji Govt. Hospital.

Also We are donating 50 units of Blood in every Semester Vacations to Ramanathapuram Govt. Hospital.
-
In addition that our students are donates their blood in case of any emergency in and around Ramanathapuram district.

Achievement
Our Blood Donors’ Club received the the rolling Shield for the Best Blood Donors’ Club in our region for the past three years consecutively from Madurai Rajaji Govt. Hospital.

Activities
- Practice of Health habits.
- Cleanliness of College Premises.
- Preparation of health poster and pamphlets.
- Conducting medical Check-up camps in and around College Campus.
- Organizing Blood grouping and donation camps.
- Organizing short duration service programmes.
- Taking care of the sick and wounded persons.
- Tree plantation and afforesation.
- Supply of medicines, fruits, garments etc., to needy patients and Orphanage.
- Assisting of dressing of wounds in the hospitals.
- Observance of World Health day, Blood Donation Day, World Red Cross Day, National Blood Donors’ Day etc., as would be instructed by th YRC Headquarters.

Programmes Arranged
- We are organizing Blood Donation Camps in Every Year.
- We arranged One- day Orientation Programme for YRC Volunteers in 27.03.2004 through IRCS.
- We arranged Blood Group Checking Camp on 06.10.2005.
- We organized One-day District Level YRC Students Study Camp for the student Volunteers from Madurai, Dindugal, Theni, Virudunagar, Sivagangai and Ramanatahpuram districts on 04.11.2006 and the district Collector Presided over the function.
